PRECISION-BUILT TRAILS FOR RIDERS, WALKERS & NATURE LOVERS

Trail projects need to work in the real world. They have to drain properly, handle traffic, protect surrounding environments, and stay maintainable year after year.

We design, build and maintain mountain bike, shared-use and walking trails for National Parks, councils and resort environments, including projects across the ACT and the Snowy Mountains region. Our team combines practical trail construction skills with a strong understanding of soils, drainage and erosion control, so the finished trail feels good to use and stands up to heavy traffic in every season

TRAIL DESIGN & PLANNING

Good trails start with good decisions on paper. We work with project teams to plan trail networks that suit the site, the users and the long-term maintenance reality.

Key considerations include:

• terrain, soils, slope and drainage patterns
• user experience and trail flow for the intended audience
• safety, sight lines and conflict points on shared-use trails
• sensitive areas, waterways and vegetation protection
• required approvals, standards and documentation

TRAIL CONSTRUCTION

Trail construction is a mix of precision earthworks and hand-finished detail. We shape surfaces properly, manage water first, and then refine the ride or walk experience.

Construction services can include:

• clearing, set out, excavation and shaping
• bench cutting, grading and compaction
• drainage solutions such as grade reversals, water bars and culvert treatments
• surface finishes using natural materials, gravel or imported trail surfacing where required
• feature construction including berms, rollers, bridges, boardwalks and technical elements
• shared-use solutions such as widening, separation points and signage readiness

MAINTENANCE & SUSTAINABILITY

Trails do not stay great on their own. Regular upkeep protects the investment and avoids small issues turning into expensive repairs.

Maintenance services can include:

• inspections and condition reporting
• drainage clean-outs and repairs
• surface reconditioning and compaction
• rehabilitation of worn or eroded sections
• vegetation management for clearance and sight lines

Sustainable trail building is about controlling water, protecting surrounding environments and designing for realistic maintenance from day one.

Trail types we build

• mountain bike trails: flow trails, technical singletrack, beginner loops and gravity features where suitable
• shared-use trails: paths designed for walkers and cyclists with practical safety considerations
• walking trails: scenic, accessible routes with durable surfaces and sensible gradients

If you’ve got a trail concept, a scope, or an existing track that needs upgrading, we’re happy to review it and talk through the best way forward
